Mövenpick Signs First Indonesian Property
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has announced it will open its first hotel in Indonesia in 2014 in a location overlooking popular Jimbaran Bay in south Bali.
Inspired by traditional Balinese design, Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran will offer 270 rooms including 70 suites, and an additional 70 branded residences.
Dining options include an all-day dining restaurant, roof-top lounge, and lobby café. The resort will also offer a 500-sqm ballroom, business center, kids club, meeting rooms, gym, library, and a spa facility.
“Bali is a holidaymaker’s paradise and the exclusive beach location of this resort with its unrestricted views of the bay is certain to be hugely popular,” said Andreas Mattmüller, COO for Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East and Asia.
“As the company’s first hotel in Indonesia, this is a perfect place to start.”
The resort is 4 km from bustling Nusa Dua, 6.5 km from the international airport, 8 km from Kuta Beach’s nightlife, and 45 km from Ubud.
The Jimbaran resort is one of nine new hotels set to be opened by Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts across Asia by 2014. The Swiss-based company currently operates two hotels in Thailand, two in Vietnam, and one each in India, the Philippines, and Singapore.
