Koh Samui infrastructure gets a face lift:
For the past few years major development has been on going on Koh Samui, in regards to the improvement of its ring road that runs around the Island.
New water and draining systems have been introduced; the first stages were from the court house and ended at the three way junction in Bophut, The Mayor and his team moved forward with grants and budgets that were approved from the central Government in Bangkok.
Billions of Baht have been granted to improve and enhance the beauty and connectivity of Koh Samui.
With the new draining systems, and water runs off in major locations, this would and does assist the water to run away without damaging the roads and infrastructures. Their newest endeavors are from Lamai beach to Nathon, where a wider road has been developed, water run offs new draining systems to assist the communities along the roads, pavements and trees are being planted to ensure they keep their Green Island concept.
International media, tour operators and travel agents should make an effort to visit Samui to see for themselves and report back worldwide, on these great initiatives, the world needs to be told and koh Samui should be on everyone’s destination list and the place to be in the future!
