Asia Pacific Hotels Keep Opening Doors

The November 2011 STR Global Construction Pipeline Report shows the Asia Pacific hotel development pipeline comprises 1,443 hotels with 348,653 rooms.

Year-to-date 2011, 361 properties have opened 64,269 rooms in the region. Through the end of 2011, 38 more hotels are expected to open with 8,993 rooms. In 2012, 559 projects are expected to open with 139,432 rooms, and 395 projects are in line to open 97,312 rooms in 2013.
